Agidens gives me prospects. They take a good look at what you’re doing now, as well as what you could do. You get the right opportunities to do this and then you can look at whether it’s really a fit for you.
Describe your job in one sentence.
Qualification of utilities and equipment.
What is the most important thing in your career right now?
For me, the most important thing is to help other people grow. I think it’s fantastic to be able to help people in their development and see them take steps to keep on improving. Not only in terms of work, but also personally. Because at the end of the day, those two things go hand in hand.
What aspect of your job gives you the most fulfillment?
Basically, there are two things. Firstly, 1-to-1 meetings with my colleagues. That way, you really get to know people and I hope that with a bit of feedback I can help the team grow to become the superstars they can be. The second aspect I get a lot of fulfillment from is the practical work with all the challenges this entails. I get a kick out of being able to find the right solutions.
What technology do you work with?
There are lots of different technologies that have to be reviewed: from HVAC units and utilities to production processes (and the associated equipment such as PGCS, UFDF, and columns) to the spaces in which they are located. At the moment, there are also developments in the inline measurements that have to replace manual sampling in a few years (Raman Analyze, Automated Gold Particle Tester, and FlowVPX).
How does Agidens invest in your growth?
Agidens gives me prospects. They take a good look at what you’re doing now, as well as what you could do. You get the right opportunities to do this and then you can look at whether it’s really a fit for you. Whilst you’re trying things out, you keep getting feedback to help you grow within that challenge.
If you could choose, where would your next international project be?
Ireland. Without a doubt. That might be a somewhat atypical answer, but it’s now my favorite country for holidays. I fell in love with the natural beauty there and there’s nothing better than a good hike. The people are also really friendly and they’re much less rushed than in the Netherlands.
